We had a spectacular first day of trekking! It was a very cold, clear day which always means that we have to be vigilant against frostbite. It really is amazing to see the cliffs and valley reveal themselves in all their splendour.
The pulling surface was challenging but we are pleased with the 8 km we covered and with the campsite Scott has found in the lee of a massive boulder. We are now about to treat ourselves to a freeze-dried gourmet meal. Then to bed and a very full day tomorrow.
