South Pole Expedition
Embark on the Ultimate Journey: The Last Degree South Pole Expedition
One of the few places on earth that has remained relatively unchanged by the hand of man. If you are looking for that next step in your adventure career, that truly once in a lifetime trip; this is it!
Few people in history have ever been to the South Pole. It will take hard work, training, fortitude and determination, but you can become one of the few.
Scott Kress is an Internationally Certified Polar Guide and one of the few people on the planet qualified to take you to the South Pole on this amazing journey.
After months of preparation and training we will meet in Punta Arenas, Chile, to begin our adventure. We will fly to our main staging base at Union Glacier on the interior of the Antarctic continent. From here we will fly to our starting point at 89-degrees South. We will load our sleds and strap on our skis and take the first steps on this 125km trek to the geographic bottom of the earth.
Are you ready for the adventure of a lifetime?
Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to complete the legendary Last Degree South Pole Expedition—a truly extraordinary physical and mental challenge. This is not just an expedition; it’s a triumph over nature’s extremes, a journey through the frozen wilderness of Antarctica where history and geography collide in one breathtaking experience.
Explore the Final Frontier of Earth:
At the southernmost point of the Earth lies the South Pole, a place where few have dared to venture. Located at the geographic center of Antarctica, this icy expanse remains one of the most remote and inhospitable places on Earth, offering an unparalleled chance to test your limits. You will travel across the last degree of latitude, covering 60 nautical miles from 89°S to the Pole, making this a physically demanding and unique adventure. With endless white landscapes and rugged glaciers, the vastness of Antarctica will take your breath away
The History of Exploration:
The South Pole is rich with the legacy of explorers who dared to chart the unknown. Roald Amundsen, the first to reach the South Pole in 1911, and Robert Falcon Scott, whose tragic journey captured the hearts of the world, paved the way for modern exploration. Their courageous expeditions have shaped the way we view human perseverance. As you step onto the same frozen terrain that Amundsen and Scott traversed, you’ll follow in the footsteps of these pioneers, honoring their spirit of discovery and their unyielding commitment to exploration.
A Physical Accomplishment Like No Other:
This journey is not for the faint of heart. With brutally cold temperatures, high winds, and rugged, shifting snow, you will face challenges that push your endurance to the limit. Whether you are pulling a sled through snowdrifts or battling the mental toll of isolation, every step toward the Pole will be a triumph in itself. The sense of accomplishment upon reaching the South Pole is unlike any other—standing at the bottom of the world, having conquered the forces of nature, knowing you’ve reached a milestone few will ever achieve.
