Summit Team Building

Arrival at Union Glacier

The team arrived at Union Glacier in Antarctica a couple of days ago. We are now waiting for our flight to our drop off location at 89degrees south. The weather is poor with low visibility for flying so we are stuck at Union Glacier for a few days. We hope to fly in a day or two and begin our ski to the South Pole. In any expedition and especially an Antarctic expedition we must be patient and adaptable to the ever changing schedule. We will achieve our goal, but on Mother Natures schedule not ours.

In the meantime time we have been practicing our skiing and camp craft. We are all packed and ready to go. We are just waiting for word from the pilot that the skies are clear.

Storm bound in Antarctica, the expedition team.
